Anti-Discrimination Policy

  • HR has zero tolerance for any form of unlawful discrimination or harassment toward employees, volunteers, program participants, partners, or beneficiaries.
  • Discriminatory practices in hiring, promotion, program access, training opportunities, termination, compensation, or any other employment action are prohibited.
  • HR promptly investigates any reported incidents of discrimination or harassment. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken if claims are substantiated.

Conflict of Interest Policy

  • All HR board members and employees have a duty to disclose any financial, personal, or family relationships that may constitute a real or potential conflict of interest.
  • Individuals must recuse themselves from decisions involving organizations or individuals with whom they have a close relationship or financial stake.
  • Individuals may not use their position at HRNO for improper personal or private gain for themselves or affiliates.

Workplace Health & Safety Policy

  • HR strives to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees and volunteers by identifying and mitigating physical, environmental, and occupational hazards.
  • Adequate protocols, protective equipment, training, resources, and reporting procedures are implemented to prevent workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Employees and volunteers also have a duty to adhere to safe practices, protocols, and identify ways to enhance workplace safety.

Procurement Policy

  • HR adheres to robust procedures for evaluating suppliers, contractors, and vendors on merit and performance to obtain quality goods/services at reasonable prices.
  • Purchases above a certain threshold require competitive bidding with at least three vendors.
  • Relationships with suppliers are managed to uphold ethics and prevent fraud or conflicts of interest.
